The City of Austin, Texas has been proactive and aggressive when addressing the issues of public waste and materials management. The comprehensive heading for this endeavor is called the Austin Resource Recovery. This mission intends to adopt a citywide program that reduces the use of disposable, toxic or nonrenewable products by 50% and establish a Zero Waste policy by the year 2040. The city will utilize a combination of SiteScapes CityView trash and recycling containers to obtain these goals. Each container will have a specific waste designation and associated colors and verbiage to separate the waste. SiteScapes is proud to be a part of this ongoing environmental effort.
