Increased student enrollment and innovation growth spurred Wichita State University to launch a campus wide renovation project in 2016. The campaigns initial project began with the Innovation Campus Infrastructure project and has since encompassed the National Institute for Research and Digital Transformation, the Student Athlete Complex and Woosley Wellness Center. As part of this new master plan, WSU selected the NewPort receptacles from SiteScapes for implementation of a campus wide recycling program. The University selected the NP2-1001 receptacle with dome top in two variations to be installed side by side. One receptacle is a standard item and is intended for waste. The other has a bright Blue lid with recycling verbiage and is designated for recyclable items. These products have made an immediate and lasting impact on the campus by providing function and cleanliness to WSU.
